How to Use

What is BGP?

BGP (Border Gateway Protocol) is the routing protocol that makes the internet work. It determines the best path for data to travel between networks.

How to use this tool:

  1. Enter any public IP address in the input field
  2. Click "Visualize Routes" to see the BGP paths
  3. The chart shows a single source router (green diamond) with its local AS as the starting point
  4. All paths flow from the source router through peer connections (showing their local AS) to the destination
  5. AS (Autonomous System) nodes show the routing path through the internet with uniform labeling

Node Colors:

  • ◆ Green Diamond: Router Fuente (AS Local)
  • ● Blue: Best Path Peer Connections (AS Local)
  • ● Orange: Alternative Peer Connections (AS Local)
  • ● Light Blue: Autonomous Systems (AS)
  • ● Red: Destino (IP Final)
